What is VTE?
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) refers to the abnormal coagulation of blood in deep veins, which is a disorder of venous return of the lower limbs. Thrombosis mostly occurs in the immobilization state (especially in major orthopedic surgery). The pathogenic factors include slow blood flow, venous wall injury and hypercoagulable state. After thrombosis, most of them will spread to the deep vein trunk of the whole limb, except a few can be ablated or confined to the site of occurrence. If not diagnosed and treated in time, most of them will evolve into thrombosis sequelae, affecting the quality of life of patients for a long time. In addition, some patients may develop pulmonary embolism, with extremely serious consequences.
